Alright, after a solid draft by most teams, unlike previous years no team is starting out with more than sit through round 1 of our eleven round regular season. Let's take a look at how everyone looked coming out of the gate:
Six win teams:
Picktown edged out Big Rig in points, but both are tied at the top with a 6-3 record. The Pirates had Betts with 91 points(7.58 ppg) and Steer with 69(7.67 ppg) lead the offense with Altuve(57, 5.7) also having a strong round. Piching wise Kelly(53) and Stroman(50) both score 50+ points with Burnes coming in a 43. The Bandits did most of their damage with pitching with four guys over 40 fppg. Crochet(70, 3 gms), Glasnow(59), Skubal(45) and Montas(45) all really stepped up for Chenault's team. Hitting wiseHernandez(69, 5.8), Smith(51, 5.1) and Soto(50, 5.9) each put up over 50 fppg.
Five win teams:
Fort Wayne, Boro and Jobu each sit one game over .500 with a 5-4 record. The Fuddruckers were led by Marte scoring 62 fp and averaging 6.3 fppg. Four other guys did not reach 50 fp, but did average over 5.0 fppg: Harris, Harper, Melendez and Seager. No one really stoof out pitching wise except Ragans who scored 49 fp over two appearances. The Teabaggers had O'neill start off hot with 63 points while averaging 7.0 fppg. Tatis(53, 4.4) and Contreras(50, 6.25) also had productive rounds. Berrios(37) and Ryan(33) bith had respectable rounds on the mound. Jobu joined the five game winners with strong hitting from Ohtani(68, 5.7), Gurriel(63, 6.3), Olson(53, 6.62) and Cronenworth(50, 4.2). Gallen43) was the king of the hill averaging 21,5 over two games.
Four win teams:
Hard Knocks, TCB, Cleveland and Charlotte all check in at one game inder .500 with a 4-5 record. Hard Knocks were led by Conforto(60, 6.0) and Happ(50, 5.6) offensively, but had seven guys on his roster veraging over 5.0 fppg. Rodirguez((54, 27 fppg) led all pitchers while racking up two wins. Trah Can Bangers, the defending champs, had three guys over 50 fppg - Witt(52, 5.3) Volpe(51, 5.7) and Walker(50, 5.0). No pitchers were outstanding in Max's starting lineups, but Lopez did score 38 fantasy points over two games. Garcia(56, 6.2), Kwan(49, 5.4) and Riley(45, 5.6) all had stellar weeks for the Cleveland Baseball Team at the plate. Evoldi(50) was the only starter of any significance for Scott's team, but in the pen Clase managed 40 points with four saves to help the pitching staff. For the Curve, Freeman(57, 4.75), Ozuna(54, 6.75) and, a great draft pick from Dean, Jay Burger(51, 5.1) all shined in round one. Wheeler was outstanding scoring 49 points over two games, while Miller clocked in with 39, both pitchers wiith two starts.
...and then there is Jack with two wins
Peralta was really the lone standout for Jack's team scoring 43 points over two appearances. It's really not that bad though as he just happened to have mildly slow starts from guys like Judge, Tucker, Cruz and Santander. Nice pickups of Turang and Duran may prove to pay off as well. Gausman, Yamamoto and Hader will get going too, and this team will be right in the mix. If not, thanks for your donation...

**********************************************************************************
My commitment to the league is to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone. If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. My only two requests for all of you is to be respectful to each other, and stay active in the league for the duration of the season. Check your player's status for injury, and set your lineups. Interaction with the league is encouraged, but in no way required. Thanks guys, and good luck.
Review of how the league works:
There are 13 starters for each team, and you will only be allowed to play one player per position each day. If a player happens to have a double-header, you get all the points for that player.
You may switch players daily, meaning if you have an injury, a rainout, a DNP, or just a day off, you may replace him with someone from the bench, or acquire from the player pool. If you have a player in your lineup, and his game has started, you will get a zero for that position that day.
Starting pitchers ~ Three slots, but you only get one start for each of those spots. So once that starter position is used, it is done for the period, so be careful to know which one you use so you do not get a zero for putting a different pitcher in the same starter spot say the next day. All other positions do not have limits, but again can only be used by one player per day. UT is the utility player, and can be filled with any hitter(like a DH), and they do not get charged with errors.
Waiver Wire Pickups:
This is an open league, meaning anyone not on a team can be picked up at any time with a release of a player from your roster.
Draft Day/Time:
Tuesday, March 29th at 8:00pm
The draft will be done on the Fantrax League page and will start promptly at 8pm. The draft order has been named, so for the draft you will go to the Draft Room(top of page in green), and it will continue to show you when it is your turn to pick. There is no auction, so everyone will have 45 seconds to draft their player, or it will be auto-drafted for you. It is a good idea to do your research while others are drafting so you will be ready to draft and we can get it done quickly.
Player Eligibility:
Positions that are listed on a hitter's profile by Fantrax will be eligible for those position(s). In addition, for a hitter to be eligible at a different position, he will need to play 10 games at that new position. Then, Fantrax will add that position for the remainder of the season.
Pitchers will be different this year, and teams are only permitted three starts per period. Those listed as (SP) may only start games. Those listed as (RP) obviously pitch in relief, but may start only if they do not exceed the three start max per period. Those listed as (SP, RP) can pitch relief, but also may only start if they do not exceed the three start max per period. Any team that violates the three start max rule with a fourth start, must spend 30 minutes in my hot tub with Dave Widau in his speedo. Oh, and they lose the points for that start.

This will be our chatroom for the season. In the settings you can mute it and come back to it if people get chatty. This is nice to have instead of blowing up people's email in a thread. My suggestion for trade talk is to private message someone using Groupme as well.
